GLASS-MOLY-FILLED PTFE


  • Adds to hardness and stiffness
  • Reduces friction, especially starting coefficient of friction and steady-state wear
  • Effect on electrical properties is negligible
  • Unreactive chemically, and dissolves only in strong oxidizing acids


SPECIFICATIONS
  • From 0.010" thick to 0.250" thick
  • From 1/2" wide to 12" wide
  • Plate to 2.5" thick 48 inches square
  • Cylinders up to 8" OD and 12" long (both solid rods and tubes)
  • Material Type; reinforcement filler plus PTFE: 10-15% Glass fiber; 5% Molybdenum DiSulfide and 80-85% PTFE
  • Max. PV (psi-fpm); Mpa-m/s: 10,000; 0.35
  • Operating Temp.: minus 350 °F - plus 500 °F
  • Attribute/Properties: Very hard and stiff; reduces friction; little effect on electrical properties; unreactive chemically
